Delete your account
You can initiate a verified Speedly account-deletion request from the Android app, iPhone app, or this website. The same durable workflow is used on every platform.
Pre-launch draft — placeholders marked below must be resolved before this page is used as a production legal notice.
Request deletion on the web
- Sign in to Speedly on this website.
- Open Settings, then Data & privacy.
- Select Delete account and review the impact.
- Re-enter your password or verify with Google/Apple, acknowledge the impact, and type DELETE.
- Save the request reference and use Refresh status to track progress.
Signing in is the identity check for this web request path. If you cannot access your account, visit Speedly support. Never send a password, online-banking credential, or one-time security code to support.
Request deletion in the mobile app
- Sign in to the Speedly app.
- Open Settings → Data & privacy → Delete account.
- Review the same impact notice shown on the website.
- Re-enter your password or verify with Google/Apple, acknowledge the impact, and type DELETE.
- Keep the request reference shown by the app.
The app initiates a deletion request; it does not claim that every connected system or bank has been erased synchronously.
What happens when the request is recorded
- Registered push tokens are removed and future reminders to the requester are suppressed.
- Automatic debits that have not been submitted are cancelled.
- Production bank-mandate cancellation is queued for the payment provider.
- A durable request, status history, blocker list, and request reference are created.
A debit already being submitted or processed must reach a final state. A production bank mandate remains pending until the bank or payment provider confirms cancellation.
Items that can require action
Speedly shows blockers rather than deleting shared or financial records unsafely. You may need to transfer or close an owned workspace, transfer active landlord responsibilities, wait for an in-flight payment, resolve a receipt review or payment exception, or wait for bank-mandate cancellation confirmation.
One landlord or tenant cannot use this process to delete another person's account. Shared tenancy and payment records are handled separately from the requester's sign-in identity.
Deletion, anonymization, and retained records
Once blockers are resolved, eligible profile data, sessions, device tokens, uploaded objects, and configured processor data are deleted or anonymized by the deletion worker. Shared tenancy, receipt, payment, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or accounting records may need restricted retention where an approved policy and applicable obligation require it.
The production operator must publish the approved categories, reason, period or objective criterion, backup-expiry treatment, and contact route in the privacy notice before store submission. Speedly's workflow does not invent a retention period in code.
Payment mandates are separate
Deleting a Speedly account does not itself prove that a bank mandate is cancelled. Speedly requests provider-side cancellation and waits for confirmation. You may also use the participating bank or payment provider's cancellation route. Check the final mandate status before relying on cancellation.
Cancel a deletion request
You can cancel a request from Settings until destructive processing begins. Cancelling the Speedly request does not automatically reverse a bank-mandate cancellation already sent to a provider. You would need to authorize a new mandate separately if required.
Before you submit
- Save tenancy and receipt records you need to keep.
- Resolve pending payments, refunds, receipt reviews, or disputes where possible.
- Transfer landlord workspaces and responsibilities that other users still need.
